Is the Aventon Level 2 the Perfect E-Bike for Urban Riding?

If you are looking for a suburban e-bike, it stands up to the hustle and bustle of the city. Practices and convenience are key, allowing you to ride to work comfortably but also swing at the grocery store on the way home if you need to.

Like most suburban models out there, the Level 2 comes with a sturdy and defense shelf on both wheels. Slap on some panniers or a top bag and you’re ready to bring the whole thing you need away from home. And these defenses will keep your clothes (and cyclists behind you) as clean and dry as possible.

A my favorite feature is the rear lights integrated to the left and right seat stays. The red lights are built into the frame and are a super sweet safety solution that is also visible at the side. Aventon fans and techy riders expect that these turning lights in turn signals can be used soon, but we’ll have to wait a little longer for this feature. Regardless, turn signals can be a bit gimmicky at this point- a good but old signal hasn’t let me down anymore, only drivers don’t care to pay much attention to me or my light.
