Scuvvers Car Seat Cover Review
Forgot to pack a change of clothes, but want to hit every piercing on the sidewalk? It feels fun, at least until you are soaked into your car seat. To keep your seats turning into a mud-bath, a young company provides a smart solution: Squowers Car Seat Cover! But is it worth spending € 60? Our test will reveal the answer!

The sidewalks are calling, but have you forgotten packing the clothing change? The next thing you know is that you are wet and covered in mud and sit on the driver’s seat. What about using an old towel or shower curtain? Usually not the best solution. That is why the square car seat cover is useful.
A family from Queensland, Australia, has developed a simple and intelligent way to protect car seats – mountain bikers, outdoor TS tsahs and regularly bringing dust into their car regularly. Seat + cover = scuvver! But this is not just about practicality: the seat cover is made from more than 90% recycled materials and durable polyester fabric, appearing in the same type of camping chairs and other open gears.
If you run a luxury sedan or campper van, no one will like to sit down after the mudfest. But is this € 60 cover really delivering, or is the spare bag bag still a good choice? We tested Square to learn!
Skewers car seat cover on test
We put our mud bottoms on several car seats – however, under the squowl cover cover. And as our dentist also prefers biking and spends a lot of time with his (always mud) children, we also allow him to test it.
The seat cover consists of three parts:
- Headrest Pap: Attached to Headrest with Velcro.
- Storage pouch: A small plastic slider is connected to the headrest strap – used to store the cover when not in use.
- Seat cover: Stores the interior of the pouch with Velcro.
The outer side of the pouch is also microfiber wool, which is placed on the head level for additional comfort. When packed, the cover of the cover road map – you know, old school maps will never fold properly.

To install the cover on the seat, attach the headrest strap with the velcro, clip the storage pouch using a plastic slider and adjust the strap height to ensure the full coverage. Now you can save the seat cover inside the pouch with Velcro.
The pouch is hanging on the back of the headrest, which means the cover can always be accessed and ready to go when you need it. Comfortable – for non -aesthetic reasons, we usually put in the glov compartment. 😉

The headrest strap comes in two sizes:
- M (44–74 cm): For large headrests
- S (32-50 cm): For more compact models (eg, rear seats)
Schwear Headrest provide to € 32 separately with a wallet, which allows you to set up multiple headrests and attach the seat cover where you need – for example, when your soaked wet dog can be dry when you take the passenger seat.
Since four color options are available, there is a lot of choice to fit any car interior. Here, you will need to find another space to attach the cover – the only limit if it is permanently connected to the headrest seat, similar to the bucket seats. There is also a special isofix version designed to make it easier to use with children’s seats.

When you go home from the muddy ride, your seats are protected in seconds: 1.18 meters long and 59.5 cm wide, two cutouts between the backrest and seat through the seatbelt – Perfect! It also works great in the back seats when children return from the forests covered in dust (and not only on their faces). Non-Slip backing roads can also enable everything to run. Seat heating still works with the cover, although it is a little more powerful – but you don’t freeze.
After coming home, the smaller velcro tabs in the corners make it easy to fold the cover: fold it in half, wrap it like a burito and store it in the pouch.
Or you can throw the cover directly into the washing machine. The manufacturer recommends a smooth 30 ° C cycle – so toss it with your mud bike gear and voile, which looks new. In our water test, we soak the cover all a day with water – not a single dot. Impressive!
