I don’t think Hannah Montana was thinking of e-bike and bikepacking when she wrote the song “Best in both worlds” in 2006, but it may be an appropriate description these days. Bispacking- Essentially, mixing strip cycles- getting more and more popular with E-bikes continues to get better throughout the board, even more suitable for long range hiking where lightweight is key.

Cyclists are already “e-borepacking”, as you might say, but the activity has not been taken in Masse well yet. As an experienced bikepacker myself, I naturally worry about the battery running out on long distance rides and the challenge of finding a power source to recharge them. But these concerns can be more fiction than reality depends on your way.
