The new line of children’s slippers of Radio Flyer is bright colored, available in three different sizes with 20 ”and 24” with aluminum frames of solid quality. At first glance, these “flying” bikes seem to have a lot to offer, but how do they agree with competitors? From how comfortable they are to ride to how easy they are to stop, our baby bicycle testers have put these bicycles for pedals of radio leaflets to the test to help you decide if the flying bike is the right choice for your child.
Review of a radio flyer for children with slippers
The Flyer Radio Flyer line is available in 16 ″, 20 ″ and 24 ″ wheel size. All three sizes are available in 5 different colors.
The 16 ″ leaflet model is one-speed with brakes. The 20 ″ and 24 ″ leaflet have double hand bark and 7 gear.
We recommend a leaflet of 24 ″. For the price, we hesitate to recommend a leaflet 16 ″ and Flyer 20 ″ which both have the shortcomings that make up other (cheaper) bikes with a better option.

What you should know

Unpleasant geometry = unpleasant ride

There are two main problems on the leaflet that do not exist on Guardian.

What we loved with leaflets 24
The 24 ″ leaflet is the only radio leaflet that I recommend without hesitation. The brakes and gearboxes are easy to use, and the bike components work together to ensure a smooth and comfortable ride.
Comfortable touch points
While the price of Flyer 24 379 dollars is a little high compared to comparable bikes like Guardian 24 ($ 339) and Retrospective code 24 ($ 225), offers several features of comfort that is not offered on other bicycles. They include comfortable grips with lateral bumpers (to protect their hands from side strikes), soft, creeping saddle and wider, large 2.35 ″ (more volume = more space for compression over the impact).
All in all, these together work to provide a slightly smooth and more comfortable driving compared to our competitors adapted to the budget. This does not mean that other bikes are uncomfortable, but the leaflet smooths out everyday bulge on the sidewalk or around the city a little better.
Geometry
Unlike Flyer 20, the Flyer 24 geometry is shiny and very similar to the Guardian 24. The bike provides a nice, half -empty position that most children prefer.
Compared to retrospec code 24, our riders stretched out less on the leaflet, providing more comfortable driving and more control over the bike.
The leaflet seat height ranges from 27.5 ″ to 33.5 ″, which makes it suitable for children with inseams in the range of ~ 25 ″ – 31 ″. The Old 11 rider in the pictures in the upper paintings has a seat placed at 30.5 ″. Although the seat is able to raise 3 ″ more inches, a bicycle reach (distance between the seat and steering wheel) will probably be too small for it. As a result, to allow more space to grow, we would not recommend Radio Flyer 24 for children with inseams greater than 27 ″.
As a comparison, the Guardian 24 has a slightly lower range of seats of 25 ″ – 33 ″, while retrospec code is 24 higher at 29 ″ – 35 ″.
A decent range of transmission
A leaflet, retrospec and a Guardian 24 ″ bicycles have 7 degrees of transmission, but their gear ranges differ. The Guardian has the widest range with a range of reinforcement ratios of 2.45 – 5.6. (The lower the number, the easier it is to pedal. The larger the number, the harder it is to pedal, but the further you go with every shot of the pedal.)
The leaflet is not far with a reinforcement ratio of 2.6 – 5.6. Retrospec has the narrowest range with a range of 2.42 – 4.84.
The highest cospener of the flyer and the guard (both with a 5.6 reinforcement ratio) allows bicycles to cover more distance by the impact of the pedal at the highest speed (mainly used when sprinting on flat surfaces). Retrospec lacks a little with a maximum of 4.84, which means the fastest speed in it, retrospec cannot travel as fast as the others.
Hanger
Compared to Retrospec and The Guardian, Flyer 24 is also the only bicycle with a replaceable aversion hanger. We love bladder hangers on children’s bikes because they prevent the bike frame bending when residing with heavy contact with the soil due to a collision or bicycle.
Once the bike frame bends, it can be very challenging to repair, which can prevent gears from ever working properly. If the bike has a replaceable aversion hanger, the hanger bends instead of a frame. The hanger can then be easily and quickly replaced by a few dollars.
What we didn’t like with leaflets 24
While it is a great bike, the leaflet was also the hardest of the three who entered 28.3 lb. Retrospec is slightly lighter at 28.1 LB., while Guardian is the brightest at 25.5 lb. Although harder, the leaflet is the only bicycle with an aluminum frame; Retrospec and Guardian are both steel.
Radio Flyer Kids Pedal Bikes – Bottom Line
While the Flyer 16 and 20 models need a few twists, we found Flyer 24 as a comfortable bike where our testers enjoyed riding. However, all three bicycles have fairly high prices compared to other brands we recommend, which makes harder sales.
